Magazine Fed Paintball Rentals are popular at Precision Paintball due to it's lower cost, realistic feel, and strategic game play. With only 20 paintballs per magazine, it's quite a bit different than it's traditional 200 round hopper fed counterpart. The limited ammunition not only forces rental players to be considerably more strategic with their next move, but also much more aware of their teammates and opponents' positions
The markers themselves offer a very realistic feel for players that enjoy combat style video games and other sports, such as airsoft, which is known for its military simulation style weapons. Due to the markers low ammo capacity, they are able to operate off of a smaller air tank instead of the gargantuan tanks that hang off of the back of traditional paintball markers. In retail variants of these magazine fed markers, the air tank can actually be integrated into the shoulder stock which eliminates it completely from the bottom of the marker.
Regarding cost, it is generally a solid 40% cheaper to play Magazine Fed Paintball. This is primarily due to it's all inclusive nature as a marker, and the fact that is uses less paintballs.
From a business perspective, paintballs can break in the magazine if loaded improperly which results in a higher maintenance investment. These markers are also a bit pricier than a traditional rental marker, which will result in a bit higher initial investment. To counter these higher cost, Magazine Fed Paintball carries higher profit margins, as customers tend to shoot far less paintballs.
